Redeployment day had arrived and it was time for good-byes.  This was the
first flight of my journey home from South Pole Station.        February 13, 2008

Though cold, it was a nice day on the flight line as we waited to board the
airplane that would take us north to McMurdo Station.   February 13, 2008
Filing out to board the LC-130 Hercules that would take us to McMurdo for
onward transfer to Christchurch, New Zealand.                February 13, 2008
With the engines running we boarded our flight.  For us the 07-08 summer
season at South Pole Station had come to an end.     February 13, 2008
