About the Photographer
My wife, Anne, and I both grew up in small towns in North Dakota; Anne in Beach, me in Hebron.  We have
two daughters, Aimee and Meagan, who are both married and currently living and working in Seattle.
With the exception of 4 years in the Navy, I spent the
first 28 years of my life in North Dakota.  Then the U.S.
Department of State in Washington, DC made me an
offer I couldn't refuse and I joined the Foreign Service.
My family and I spent the next 17 years assigned
overseas working at American Embassies and
Consulates in Egypt, Mauritius, France, Saudi Arabia,
Germany, Kenya and Seychelles, as well as 6 years
assigned to the Department of State in Washington, DC.
This explains the many photos from around the world.

After 23 years in the Foreign Service I took early
retirement and returned to North Dakota in 2002.
Anne and I moved to Washington State in 2006
and settled in Blaine, near the Canadian border.
Recently we have been working in Antarctica
with the United States Antarctic Program (USAP).

This website is a hobby, not a business, but it will
be maintained and new photos will be added
from time to time.  I hope you enjoy it and would
welcome comments or suggestions.
