Chiang Mai is hot and humid, noisy and
crowded. The streets are a constant
frantic movement of people, bicycles,
cars, and trucks. But walk through an
opening in a wall and you often find
yourself in a sanctuary, a monastery
garden where Buddhas inspire peace
and quiet. They were my favorite places
